Membership in the ESO

Join the ESO

We hope you can see yourself as part of our Society, working towards a better understanding of entomology in Ontario.

The annual fees for membership are:
$40.00 for regular membership: 1 year;
$200.00 for regular membership: 5 years;
Free for students, amateurs, and retired members

Regular members and international students/amateurs now have the convenience of remitting their annual dues via PayPal or major credit card as an alternative to regular postal mail (see link to PayPal below). Ensure that you make the payment before completing and submitting the membership form.

The ESO is a community of educators, scientists, students, and amateur enthusiasts who volunteer their time, effort, and money to maintain outreach and education programs designed to engage the public about Insects of Ontario and general science. As such the Society often relies on generous donations from those who take an interest Science Education.

ESO Fellow Nominations

Is there someone you’d like to recognize for their outstanding contributions to the advancement of entomology? The ESO can elect up to two new Fellows per year, with voting occurring during the summer alongside board member elections. At least three ESO members must nominate a given person for them to be considered on the ballot. Please send your nominations, with a brief justification, to the ESO secretary at: [email protected], with subject “Fellow nomination”.
