Meet the Editors

Kruti Shukla (left)
Postdoctoral Fellow
Ryerson University

Kruti completed an MSc at the University of Guelph where she studied the effect of invasive grass-endophytic mutualism on interacting con- and hetero-specifics. She completed a PhD at Ryerson University on global change and its effect on plant mating systems. She is currently a postdoc at Ryerson University where she collaborates with industry to find solutions to ecological problems in freshwater systems.
Lauren Des Marteaux (right)
Field Entomologist
Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada

Lauren completed an MSc in environmental biology at the University of Guelph and a PhD in insect physiology at Western University. As a postdoc she studied insect cryopreservation in Czech Republic and insect circadian rhythm in Japan. With AAFC she is involved in projects on pest monitoring, biological control development, insect biodiversity, and integrated pest management.
